In Zero (Broken Symmetry), Eric De Giuli transforms the imperceptible fluctuations of digital zero, a value that appears empty but contains imperceptible fluctuations too small to register in ordinary use, into vivid, evolving forms.

Each work is generated live, its randomness drawn from the unique hardware environment on which it runs. As such, what appear at first to be uniform bands gradually destabilise, breaking apart into fluid-like structures whose behaviours never repeat.

Colour plays a central role, with vibrant hues colliding and mixing to create unexpected harmonies. Patterns unfold gradually as new relationships between motion, form, and colour emerge.

By drawing form from imperceptible instabilities, Zero (Broken Symmetry) stages creation itself – unstable, unpredictable, and endlessly unfolding.
