Empire is a new collection by British-Korean artist Sheldrick that explores how photographs preserve and reshape our view of the past by transforming over 35,000 color film slides from 1940 to 1990 into layered compositions through restoration and AI. These slides, capturing personal milestones and historic moments, are reimagined to connect the past with the present, inviting reflection on how images shape our collective memory and link us to history.
