There is a day on which the streets of Kyoto dress up with intricate patterns, and silk as soft as the warm sunlight during a day of spring.
This day is when girls from all over Japan and even different countries travel all the way to Kyoto and celebrate their coming of age by dressing up in the most beautiful kimonos.
Since everybody knows the importance of this memorable event, sometimes girls help each other by fixing their hair or adjusting one of the many parts of the kimono.
