In the Wayúu culture there are approximately 270,000 members, their mourning traditions are based on saying goodbye to their grandfathers and grandmothers, or relatives in the middle of a party that contemplates a specific time to mourn and say goodbye to their family. Wayúu women gather around the grave of grandfather Hermenegildo Epieyú a month after his death.
