The dominant white tones symbolize the neutral and peaceful nature of Limbo, a place where those who, although virtuous, lacked the knowledge of Christianity find themselves. a realm without the torments of traditional Hell, yet with a profound sense of longing for spiritual enlightenment, where the virtuous are forever separated from the divine knowledge.
