A composite photograph made in 2022. This piece was created using a photograph of Sinclair I shot of him painting in his studio, a photograph of a friend of mine I took while we sailed in the Florida Keys in 2017, and an photograph of the Chicago cityscape I took a few days before making this piece. I wanted to reflect the truly beautiful act of looking that artists do everyday from a unique perspective. The art of looking is something artists consistently work on but never master. I want the viewer to find more and more as they keep looking just as a painter sketching a landscape.
