The Ghost Queen

Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII of England, is one of the most well-known figures associated with the Tower of London. Her story is marked by ambition, intrigue, and tragedy. She was crowned Queen of England in 1533 and gave birth to Elizabeth, who would later become one of England's most famous monarchs, Queen Elizabeth I. However, Anne's failure to produce a male heir led to her downfall.

In 1536, Anne was arrested and beheaded on May 19, 1536, within the Tower grounds. The Tower of London is famous for its ghost stories, and Anne Boleyn is one of its most notorious specters. Her ghost is said to be seen near the chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula, where she was buried, and around the Tower Green, where she was executed.
