The former water park and discotheque Aquasplash is one of those places I thought of as a little German boy in the 90s when on holiday in Italy (besides ice cream, of course).
Huge water slides, the smell of seawater while Italian disco hits blasted from the speakers.

But as typical as my faded memories of those beautiful days, this image is typical of the present in these resorts. They seem like relics of the past and yet they still radiate a special charm.
