Existential guilt comes from always feeling out of place in society, from always seeing things as never being quite right. There is a subconscious feeling that there is something wrong with you. This leads to isolation, which makes it worse. I have seen men who move through the world like elephants, walking with a sense of discomfort. They are uncomfortable with their existence, and they will never find peace or home in this life. They are like elephants, moving from place to place without finding anything that will make them feel at home. They feel estranged and idle; they suffer alone in their existential guilt and in their separation from others.
