The future is carved before birth. Biologically, it is inevitable. We are the same as a single brush stroke in a painting that contains an unseen figure. Art, unlike science, is unpredictable and uncrackable, yet true. The human body has been deconstructed and reconstructed for centuries—from the Greeks to the Romans, from Michelangelo to Picasso. And now we are at another point in history where technology is redefining our understanding of our bodies and ourselves. We are no longer just flesh and bone; we have become something else entirely. Daydreamer is an exploration of this idea: how we can look at ourselves and see ourselves differently through artificial intelligence? I hope to express my contempt with regard to the trends of contemporary figurative painting through an exploration of AI as a medium that can create art that enriches the understanding of our physicality. AI combines with traditional and digital painting in a consistent dialogue, back and forth collaboration.
