In 2020, my girlfriend and I moved to Seattle from the San Francisco Bay Area. We were both born & raised in the Bay Area, so leaving was a big step for us. We bought a home sight unseen during the pandemic, and took a huge leap of faith. I never imagined I'd find my calling when I arrived in the Pacific Northwest.
One evening, en route from Bainbridge Island back to downtown Seattle on the ferry, it all hit me that this place was home for the foreseeable future. The Seattle skyline glowing in the distance across the Puget Sound, and snow covered mountains in the background. I'd never felt more at peace; this was where I was supposed to be.
The ferries have become a place that I go for peace, inspiration, and appreciation for life. My excitement when I'm on a ferry with my camera will never fade. There will always be a new experience to be lived, and new light to be shined on a part of my life that means so much to me.
