The Original Sin explores the duality of futures that can be imagined with the development of artificial intelligence. The artwork is created using algorithms developed by Obvious, enabling the generation of images through a process they conceived: Sinopia — the creation of frescoes based on diffusion models guided by Visual Language Models. The fresco is based on a story written by AI (Large Language Models) and presented in a chronological narrative leading to a possible future shaped by artificial intelligence. It details the unfolding of events leading to the distant fruit.
"A second tree, artificial, was planted — its fruit born of code, its roots dividing the world between decay and bloom, its branches stretching into the flow of digital thought. Humanity stands above, faced with two paths: one leads to harmony with technology, to wisdom and sharing; the other to illusion, exploitation, and ruin. The choice has been made, the fruit consumed, and now these two futures live within us."
