This abstract work depicts mountain topography in a graphical form. The piece is composed of a series of linear shapes arranged in columns, each representing a different location along a nearly 400 km hiking path from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea.
At each stop, the algorithm has captured the defining features of the landscape with a few strokes looking south or north. The result is a unique representation of the varied terrain encountered along this journey through the Pyrénées. Imagine hiking this trail and encountering these various landscapes, with each iteration presenting another random path.
