There is nothing quite as spectacular as waking up to an alpine sunrise at elevation. McCrae Peak is a very special place south of Revelstoke British Columbia nestled in the Selkirk Range.
On this chilly September morning after spending the night on a lonely plateau high above Arrow Lake I was blessed with a light show of gradually descending alpenglow that eventually heralded the coming of a beautiful early fall day in the mountains.
