The faint image of a god was observed by your telescope. Located in the Defiant Finger, it appears to be an alien healer. This has been determined to be a false alarm. Use the alien weapon to eliminate it before it completes the feedback loop. It is safe to assume it knows a lot more about the ruins. Strangely, the god seems to have a pet. It's dressed in a navy, high-collared shirt. Its neck and chest appear to be spattered with blood.
