Kepler-186f is an exoplanet orbiting the red dwarf Kepler-186, named Highland by its colony - is a planet approximately 582 LY from Earth, orbiting within the constellation of Cygnus.
With a mass 1.7 times that of the Earth it is classified as a super-Earth. Large surface temperature variations on Highland have been attributed to its volcanic activity releasing large clouds which blanket the planet and block thermal emissions.
