Outpost 13: Twilight

Planet Twilight is a massive ocean planet in a near-Earth solar system filled with 10 other planets orbiting EV Lacertae, a faint red dwarf star, 16.5 light years away from Earth in the constellation Lacerta.

Twilight has one massive ocean covering the whole planet without any landmass other than few rocky islands dotting the massive blue ocean. A single day on Twilight lasts about 5 Earth years and the faint light from its star lit up the sky in never-ending sunset colors. Twilight colony had to build its habitats on top of the rocky archipelago creating a planet-wide chain of artificial islands outposts.

Many of the creatures on this planet have evolved into gliders. Most of the fish and aquatic mammals, despite coming in various shapes and sizes, tend to glide swiftly through the water or air without effort covering large distances, similar to how manta's glide on Earth.
