Outpost 12: Salvation

Salvation is a peculiar planet in which its atmosphere on the ground level is a toxic combination of nitrogen/helium but at the very peaks of its mountains, hundreds of miles into the atmosphere oxygen concentrates in breathable quantities.

The planet is located in a small star system with no other planets orbiting Delta Canis Majoris, a yellow F-type supergiant star in the constellation of Canis Major.

Salvation is the home of the first missionary space travelers, a religious Christian sect that left Earth following its leader's prophecy in which humanity needs to be reborn again to restart its existence.

The ship which reached Salvation had no crew, fully automated by a robotic system and on arrival, the ship used fertilized human embryos which became the first humans to inhabit the planet, born and raised on Salvation.

Contact with Salvation has stopped, some believe they are not even aware of where they came from or of humanity's existence on other planets.
