Planet Scarecrow as it's named by the native population is a terrestrial extremely cold planet in a huge solar system filled with twenty other planets orbiting Betelgeuse, the second-brightest star in the constellation of Orion. Scarecrow is about 5 times bigger than Earth and its gravity is about twice that of Earth.
This planet currently has no lifeforms on it, but the conditions on Scarecrow are currently good enough to allow terraforming. The current conditions are far too extreme and cold for most lifeforms, but with the right technologies, life could be introduced.
The planet has plenty of resources to allow for these constructions to be done on the planet. The colonies are currently built on top of artificial islands and construction of further colonies has shifted inland toward the harsher condition mountain tops.
