“Literarity” is part of a crypto-literary social experiment called “Looks Rare”. The owner of the “Literarity” NFT will be airdropped the rare, 1/1 side of the “Looks Rare” diptych. About “Looks Rare”: Inspired by Bill Viola’s 1996 diptych, “The Crossing”, and its confrontation of the perceived duality of creation and destruction, “Looks Rare” is an interactive metaverse installation in Arium that explores the notion of rarity through the words “Drop” and “Burn”. Visitors to the installation are asked to vote for or against rarity, and thereby change the appearance of the installation and determine NFT supply. Once the votes are in, the Drop/Burn diptych will be cleaved in two, and the 3D object of the word with most votes will be minted as an NFT, with number of editions corresponding to the votes. The other half of the diptych will be minted as a 1/1 edition and airdropped to the owner of the “Literarity” NFT.
