Iterations II

When is something perceived as an orderly system and at what point are we giving up, treating it like chaos? The Iteration series attempts to give nuance to the juxtaposition of structure and disarray. It creates an impression of structure by generating a random layout of blocks and repeating it in two directions. By making the process of repetition imperfect, with a small chance of mutating the initial layout, a feeling of chaos is reintroduced.

The initial purchase of Iterations II will include a 120x120cm printed version of the piece.
