In Ensō - The Incomplete Circle of Spiritual Journey, I sought to capture that delicate space where two worlds meet. The traditional red torii gate stands not just as a physical marker between realms, but as a threshold we all cross in our moments of contemplation. The garden path winds deliberately, never revealing its full course at once—much like our own spiritual journeys. I chose each element with purpose: the steadfast daisies reaching toward light, the rounded forms of foliage creating rhythm and balance, the soft pink blossoms adding gentle warmth to the composition. Drawing inspiration from ukiyo-e's "floating world" tradition, I wanted to evoke that fleeting, transient beauty we often miss in our hurried lives. The digital medium allowed me to honor these traditional aesthetics while speaking in a contemporary visual language. Like the ensō circle itself—intentionally left incomplete—this garden scene reminds us that perfection lies in embracing imperfection, and that our spiritual paths remain beautifully unfinished. This work invites you to pause, breathe, and recognize that the boundary between the everyday and the sacred is thinner than we realize. Between Two Worlds isn't just a place I've imagined—it's that quiet space we all carry within us, waiting to be discovered.
