So much of who we are is shaped in our early years of life. Our relationships, our dispositions, how we see the world... all of it entangled in the messy interactions that make up our personalities. This isn't to say that we won't continue to evolve, but that the understandings we develop early on can be formed with such strong conviction, oftentimes it's difficult to re-wire our brains to allow for new perspectives and a shedding of past negative thinking. This piece is self-reflexive as I explore the origins of my doubt. Raw energy rises to the surface, appearing as frenetic lines and shapes.
