Five years ago, I began working digitally to explore whether a gestural, expressive language could exist within the digital medium. I experimented with layering, deconstructing, and reassembling found and original imagery—often setting strict rules for myself, like never undoing or deleting layers, to preserve the work’s history. This process evolved into short-form animations built frame by frame, where I sought to extend that same gestural approach through motion. Eventually, I turned to AI, which opened up a different set of possibilities. The early works, particularly from 2020–2021, became a foundation for a practice in which these ideas continued to evolve.
