2024 December #011. "Pastel Gardens Through Time" is a visual exploration of the seamless integration of history and whimsy. The artwork juxtaposes classical architectural elements with a vibrant, surrealist landscape, suggesting a convergence of timelines and the melding of eras. Strolling through these synthetic fields, amid shapes that defy tradition, visitors appear caught between the familiar and the fantastical. The figures embody a spectrum of time periods, from habits reminiscent of nuns to contemporary clothing, each engaged in viewing the abnormal sights—monoliths of vivid color and skewed perspective—thereby challenging the viewer to consider not only what is seen but also the context in which it is understood.
