2024 November #009. The crinkle of parchment and the shroud of time, fragments of narratives long relegated to the quiet corners of dusty archives, flutter against the contemporary canvas. What was once vivid is now subdued, and in its quiet transformation, there lies a kind of haunting elegance. As layers are peeled away, as synthetic reinterpretations overlay the remnants of the past, we begin to comprehend that history is not merely the recorded fact we accepted it to be, but a chorus of voices — some silenced, waiting to be amplified once more.

There's a delicate interplay between what was chronicled and what was overseen, perhaps purposely obscured by those paper veils. These faces, mere echoes of ancient existence, peer out from the torn edges of reconceived moments, asking us not what we see, but what we remember, and more urgently, what we have forgotten.

This is a canvas where time converges, a remembrance reassembled by artificial hands, challenging, prodding — not to blame, but to stir the embers of collective memory. Monochrome becomes a metaphor for the gradual fading of certainty, the monolith of historic fact dissolving into a spectrum of speculation, a tableau where the assumed truths are just as ephemeral as the paper they're cloaked in.
