Autumn's late afternoon light is exquisite - It's my favorite time to photograph New York. The long light, and deep shadows create such intimate and romantic vignettes across the skyline. This particular afternoon I was starting to notice that the light was creating some unique shooting opportunities, and throughout the hour flight, I think we went back 3 times to check on the movement of the light. This was my last look back at the Chrysler Building as we headed for home. I quickly zoomed in to 200mm and fired away. Often times shooting back across your body in a helicopter can produce some shaky images. Thankfully, it all came together!
