Upon the creation of my Reflectology series there were many sketches, experiments, and explorations. This is an 'origin' piece that led and inspired the creation of the final series.
This series is a study of light and internal reflection inspired by the look and feel of quartz paired with the cold, yet beautiful, moments of my personal life at the time . What if you were to look 7 layers of refraction and reflection upon yourself?
This generative piece was created in 828 lines of code using the shader language GLSL and runs in real-time. The technique used to create this is called raymarching and is done in a single in a fragment shader.
