This is the second of a 3 part series called Reflectology created in May of 2021.
This series is a study of light and internal reflection inspired by the look and feel of quartz paired with the cold, yet beautiful, moments of my personal life at the time . What if you were to look 7 layers of refraction and reflection upon yourself?
This generative piece was created in 812 lines of code using the shader language GLSL and runs in real-time. The technique used to create this is called raymarching and is done in a single in a fragment shader.
This shader has been rendered out in 4k resolution at 60fps.
