A dance performance in traditional clothing, by a youth group in Mestia, Svaneti. The families dancing are Gurchiani, Udesiani, Pilpani, Japaridze, Kakhiani, and Pangani. These families keep alive a long tradition of songs and dances done by their bloodlines. I could never get enough of these dances and took every chance to photograph their practices.
