This painting was created in Processing, by the means of a pixel sorting algorithm that uses generative methods to give different weights to pixels in the sorting process, dependent on external inputs.
By the nature of this technique, the forms and shapes of the final output can vary greatly from the input, revealing hidden landscapes and shapes, not noticed in the initial arrangement of pixels.
