Glad to introduce the next piece in Word. series on SuperRare and this time we are going back in time to 1787, Philadelphia, United States where George Washington presided over the Constitutional Convention and attended private meetings with Virginians and Pennsylvanians to help develop the framework that became known as the Virginia Plan. George Washington signed the completed Constitution on September 17, 1787, at Independence Hall in Philadelphia1. As president of the Convention, he was the first to sign the document. While Washington did not personally author the Constitution's text, his leadership, influence, and ultimate endorsement were critical to its creation and ratification. In total, 55 delegates attended the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, and 39 delegates signed the final document on September 17, 1787. The Constitution emerged from a collaborative effort that synthesized various ideas about governance from these influential figures.
