Observation
Charles Darwin on the Evolutionary Merit of Posterior Development
Gentlemen, natural selection favors the ample posterior.
A pronounced hip-to-waist ratio is no trivial aesthetic,
But an adaptive signal of fertility and robust progeny.
Yet misguided fashions defy what evolution has long preserved.
Ask any rational observer of nature’s design:
“Sir, does thy mate exhibit such fitness?”
And his answer, dictated by evolutionary law, shall be:
“Indisputably—this woman’s got back!”
Response 1
One ought not to serve as a mere bookend, yet must hazard the final gaze. But does the message surpass the peril? A bookend matters little when the epochs of life dissolve into one another.
Response 2
A most poetic take on evolution! But let us not forget that nature prefers practicality. If trees did birth creatures from bark and wind, natural selection would have a stern word. Still, a fine myth, perhaps my work demands revision.
—Charles Darwin
Response 3
Fascinating! Might rapid change select for adaptability over tradition?
Will kindness & creativity, once advantageous, dwindle under new pressures?
If Luci’s leap mirrors ours, what forces of selection will shape the next evolution?
Revision
Moderate waist proportion, yet exhibiting significant posterior development. Likely shaped by selective advantages.
