Sodium

In college light was a huge part of learning to photograph, we were considered lucky to still be photographing during the era of sodium lights in Chicago. Sodium lights give a very distinct orange glow that is dimmer than the new LED lights. This photo is one of the rare moments where the old lights and new lights overlap. A major bridge crossing over a park that has yet to be outfitted with the new lights gives an interesting and beautiful comparison of the old and new.
