The COMPUTATION series is a set of seamless looping GIF animations exploring color and movement at low resolutions. They recall the aesthetics of analog punch-cards, woven textiles, and mainframe control panels; media endemic to computation’s rich history. Each iteration is stochastically generated from a modified version of a JavaScript-based program called COMPUTERS originally developed as a long-form generative algorithm.
