One Step at a time

After the passing of a friend that I got to spend time with him periodically throughout his last days. It didn’t hurt to lose him, almost that sitting on his front porch was my way of keeping him company on the walk to the other side. Roger was the type of person to step up when others asked for help, and especially when they didn’t. He wouldn’t let people walk to their car during winter storms alone, he offered to fix things when a neighbor needed a hang, he watched out for the children of the neighborhood. Their is no huge giant act of tribute Roger did during life, but rather he lived over 50 years of making the people he loved and stranger’s days one step easier. He was the richest man in life or death and he didn’t have a bank account.
