CP1919: Peter Saville, Stephen Morris, and the Joy Division Archive

CP1919 is a digital audiovisual project that draws on artist Peter Saville’s iconic Joy Division Unknown Pleasures album cover. These digital artworks include newly recorded sound combining samples from archival Joy Division recordings and the radio signature of the CP1919.

CP1919: Sweeping Sun Black 2023, a single edition artwork (NFT) with a monochromatic black color palette and distinct new audio from the Joy Division Archive, will be available through an online auction conducted by Pace Verso. CP1919: Sweeping Sun Black 2023 will never be made available to the public—only the owner will have access to this experiential artwork. The buyer will receive their artwork on a commemorative hard drive in a bespoke slipcase.
