"Artists as Muse" is a reflection on the interplay between creation and creator, reality and imagination, and an exploration of the role of women in art history. In this series, I employ AI as a creative collaborator to “paint” vivid self-portraits of imagined female artists from different eras, at different points in their careers, each with their own unique artistic style.

Rather being the subject of the male gaze, these women artists are their own muse. These portraits are a gateway into alternate art histories, a contemplation of the multifaceted nature of self, and an exploration of the standards of beauty and femininity embedded within capitalist paradigms.

Art history is not a monolithic entity, but a tapestry woven from countless threads. This series seeks to expand our understanding of this tapestry by inviting us to envision what could have been.
