"When Redlioneye nudged me to be part of MLow's Crypto OGs Transient collab, it felt like stepping onto a carousel that was already in full swing. The challenge? Taking over after Moxarra and weaving in my flavor without overwhelming an already vibrant canvas.
Despite being a multi-genre nomad, my recent passion has been pixel art. Drawing from that, I felt our shared masterpiece could use hints of this digital retro touch. From my collection, I introduced elements like the central eye, a solitary figure, and an evocative blood drop. For those with a keen eye, there's a series of heads, a brilliant creation by 0xmj. Among them, one head stands out with its puzzlement, marking the source of that solitary blood drop.
Moxarra's animated eyes, a true masterpiece in their own right, maintained their prominence in the artwork. Rather than just letting them move, I reimagined them as windows, momentarily revealing the older layers of our collaboration within a tight radius, giving viewers brief glimpses into our collective journey. Given the intricacy of the piece, and aiming for clarity and integrity, I opted to completely remove the frame that Moxarra had introduced.
To enhance the digital vibe, I introduced a pixelated region to the canvas, picking a location that would transform into a mesmerizing and vibrant mosaic. From there, I felt the piece could benefit from a glitchy touch. I added a glitch effect that, for fleeting moments, revealed an inverted version of the artwork. This inversion not only provided a fresh perspective but also emphasized the duality of our creation. Inverting colors and shades can sometimes present an entirely different emotion or narrative, and truth be told, I've grown quite fond of this inverted view. The still frames captured during the glitching process also produce surprisingly abstract compositions.
For the final touch? Sound. I dusted off my trusty mini Akai keyboard and crafted a rhythmic music loop, accentuating it with ambient sound effects. A personal milestone was achieved: it's the first time one of my music loops has been minted!
Concluding this artistic voyage as the 12th participant has been both challenging and deeply rewarding. The final artwork stands as a testament to a harmonious fusion of diverse talents and visions. Moreover, I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to mess with the art of OG legends."
