The waters were incredibly still, only interrupted by quiet splashing. The hero was rowing the boat in pitch darkness. Feeling exhausted she paused, unsure of her destination. Her instinct brought her here, but she wondered if she had made a mistake. She was about to turn back when the night sky grew brighter, suddenly illuminated by dancing lights. She was instantly mesmerized by the gorgeous sight, breath-taken by the vivid colors that even made the clouds glow.
She noticed a rift in the sky, the thick darkness that slashed through the lights. There the cosmic energy was leaking through. She felt her magic returning and it was washing away any lingering darkness off her magical cloak. Feeling immensely grateful, she was more appreciative of simple things, realizing their transience.
She heard a sound calling out to her- the voice seemed to be all around her. Then she noticed shadows approaching beneath the water's surface, a gigantic creature and her young. She stayed calm and concentrated on what they were trying to tell her.
