Luminflora Luminaris, named from Latin 'lumen' (light) and 'flora' (plant), is a bioluminescent aquatic species with translucent, funnel-shaped flowers exhibiting finely veined petals glowing soft blue (420-490 nm). Petals have ruffled margins and clusters of vibrant orange reproductive structures, indicating complex pollination. Leaves are textured with undulating edges; stems are elongated, semi-rigid, branched for aquatic environments. Bioluminescence arises from photoproteins in petal tissue, attracting nocturnal marine pollinators in aphotic deep reef zones. It thrives at 0-10°C, 30-50 cm tall, 150-300 g, using aquatic undulation for nutrient navigation. Belonging to genus Corallium, family Celestialia, it supports reef biodiversity by enhancing nocturnal pollination. Its endangered status reflects habitat vulnerability amid oceanic changes.
