Phosphora Luxflora, from Latin phosphora ('light bearer') and luxflora ('light flower'), is a bioluminescent plant species in the Aurelia Petalina cluster (family Aureliaceae, genus Aurelia). It features delicate, translucent petals with fine wavy margins and dense pollen on petals and filamentous stamens, showing pale yellow to peach gradients with visible venation. Stems are slender, supporting flower clusters and ovate, shimmering leaves. Emitting blue-green bioluminescence (470-530 nm), likely via luciferin-based photoproteins in petal epidermis, it glows faintly in dim tropical rainforest canopies at 10-25 cm height, thriving at 20-30°C. It uses nocturnal pollination by night-flying insects attracted to glow and scent, aiding volatile dispersal. Endangered due to limited range and habitat specificity, it requires conservation.
