Luminosae Spectracampa, named for its luminous, bell-shaped flowers, is a delicate plant 20-40 cm tall with slender, undulating stems adapted to tropical cave habitats. Its trumpet-shaped flowers show a gradient from deep violet to lilac with radiating striations and bead-like anthers. Minimalistic, narrow translucent leaves complement the stems. Bioluminescence occurs in inner petals and anthers, emitting 420-490 nm light via a luciferin-luciferase reaction enhanced by photoproteins, creating dynamic patterns. Native to humid caves (5-20°C), it belongs to Nocturnaceae, genus Luminosae. It attracts nocturnal pollinators and supports precise pollination despite being endangered.
