Photonae Floraglow, a rare bioluminescent plant of the Nereid Petalus family, stands 30-50 cm tall with delicate stems bearing clusters of radiant flowers. Each flower has five smooth, rounded petals in vibrant orange-reddish hues with blue iridescent margins. Flower centers emit bright blue-green bioluminescence (470-530nm) via a luciferin-luciferase reaction in petal cells. Broad, matte bluish leaves complement this glow. Native to humid tropical rainforest canopies at 15-25°C, it relies on subtle swaying to attract nocturnal moths and insects for pollination. The genus Photonae includes 10 species, all exhibiting similar luminescence and adaptations for shaded microhabitats, weighing 15-50g.
