Luminiflora Abyssalis, named for its light and deep-sea habitat, is a rare bioluminescent aquatic plant in the Nebulorb Gloriosa cluster. It measures 10-30cm tall and 5-25g, thriving near hydrothermal vents at 5-15°C. Its translucent, undulating petals feature irregular azure-blue margins with central vibrant orange bioluminescent spots. Radially symmetrical flowers possess multiple stamens radiating from a luminous core emitting 420-490nm blue-green light. Petal veins channel photoprotein-activated bioluminescence under low light. Semi-transparent stems undulate, aiding nutrient absorption and sway. Belonging to a newly classified family, it’s adapted for minimal light and continuous signaling. Its glowing petals attract bioluminescent marine pollinators, supporting cross-pollination and nutrient cycles within the abyssal hydrothermal niche.
