Luminflora Aurealis, named from Latin for 'light' and 'golden,' is a rare bioluminescent species of genus Aurelia Petalina, growing 30-50 cm tall with slender stems and ovate to lanceolate, speckled leaves enhancing luminescence. Its large flowers have five broad, translucent petals with detailed venation, coated in bioluminescent cells emitting 470-530 nm blue-green light, likely from luciferin-luciferase reactions in epidermal and petal tissues. Native to shaded, humid tropical rainforest understories (15-25°C), it attracts nocturnal pollinators and sways gently in air currents to aid pollen dispersal. Weighing 10-25 g, it supports nocturnal insect reproduction within the five-species Aurelia Petalina cluster.
