Luminiflorus Aureus, from Latin 'lumen' (light) and 'florus' (flowered), is a bioluminescent aquatic species 15-30cm tall, weighing 5-25g. It has dense clusters of translucent, membranous petals with subtle venation and scattered orange-flecked bioluminescent nodules. Ruffled petal edges enhance its dynamic floral display. Slender, resilient stems support flexible undulating movements in its Abyssal Ocean Gardens habitat (0-10°C). Bioluminescence ranges 470-530nm blue-green via photocytes in petals and reproductive organs, producing pulsating light for nocturnal pollinator attraction. Belonging to the Ethereal Petalachordata cluster, genus of 10 marine light-emitting species, it supports symbiotic pollination with bioluminescent marine arthropods and cephalopods. This rare species is vital for abyssal floral biodiversity and ecological balance.
