Luminifloris Noctilucenta, named from Latin for 'light' and 'night shining,' is a bioluminescent flowering plant with translucent petals arranged in radial symmetry, featuring five to seven slightly undulating lobes. Petal surfaces shimmer with blue-green (420-490nm) fluorescent pigments. Central stamens bear spherical anthers coated with luminescent granules emitting soft pinkish light contrasting with indigo petals. Elliptical leaves with smooth edges host scattered luminescent cells. Flexible stems enable gentle swaying. Native to tropical rainforest canopies, it thrives at 15-30 cm height, 20-30°C, and up to 10g weight. Part of the Luminis Scintillanta genus and family of bioluminescent flora with ten species. It uses nocturnal pollination attracting moths and beetles via light and nectar. Vulnerable and vital for canopy pollinator networks and biodiversity.
