Luminaea Floralescentia, named from Latin 'lumina' (light) and 'floralescentia' (flowering), is a rare bioluminescent species in the Phantasmal Florale cluster. Standing 5-30 cm tall and weighing 150-300g, it features complex flowers with ruffled, semi-translucent petals exhibiting a pale pink to blush gradient, densely covered in fine glandular trichomes enhancing light diffusion. The central disc bears numerous slender stamens with colored anthers around a prominent pistil. Bioluminescence (420-490 nm) arises from photocytes at petal edges and reproductive organs, producing a faint swaying glow. Native to temperate forest understories (15-25°C), it thrives in shaded, humid microhabitats, attracting nocturnal pollinators like moths and bats. Its placement in Phantasmal Florale family and Luminaea genus reflects unique adaptations for night pollination within its temperate ecosystem.
