Floraluminis Resplendens, named from Latin for 'flower' and 'light,' is a striking bioluminescent plant with ruffled petals in dense clusters glowing blue and orange within 420-490 nm. Its translucent petals suggest thin, cell-rich epidermal layers that emit light. Compact (15-30 cm tall) with lightweight stems, it exhibits subtle nocturnal swaying to attract pollinators. Leaves are smooth, broad, and adapted for tropical canopy light absorption. Native to tropical rainforest canopies at 15-25°C, it belongs to the protected Ethereal Petalachordata cluster (40 species). Its unique family/genus is defined by bioluminescent petal morphology and ecological function. Pollinated by nocturnal insects drawn to rhythmic light and movement, it plays a vital ecological role and requires preservation.
